It must be remembered that the bells are cast from highly tinted bronze, which becomes brittle at low temperatures, which increases the risk of splitting the bell in severe frosts.

In this regard, bell ringers are advised in winter, especially at the beginning of the season, to avoid strong impacts that can damage the bells.

Also, during ringing, it must be remembered that strong blows are highly undesirable, because they do not so much enhance the sound as lead to destructive processes.

It is recommended to keep the belfry settings made by the specialists of the plant: monitor the suspension and tension of the tongues, the condition of metal cables, cords, blocks, pedals and, if necessary, perform their maintenance, repair or replacement.

Moving / suspending, lowering, moving, etc.  The installation of bells must be carried out using flexible cables. It is strictly forbidden to use crowbars, rebars, and other rigid metal objects.

It is recommended to use wooden beams when hanging bells. However, if metal beams are used, it is necessary to install wooden gaskets between the clamps and the beam itself over the entire surface of their contact.

The suspension of large bells should be carried out on metal clamps made of rolled metal or forged in such a way that the top of the bell is located at a distance of 5-10 cm from the bottom of the beam. and thus had some freedom of movement when ringing.

Sound extraction, in order to avoid the destruction of the bell, must be carried out exclusively with the help of a tongue, appropriate weight and size.

A properly suspended tongue should strike with the middle of its core into the edge of the bell's warhead.

The weight of the tongue is approximately 1/25 of the weight of the bell. The tongue is made of soft steels, steel - Ct-3 is preferred.

When hanging bells on a bell tower, it is necessary that the bottom of the bell be at least 2 m away from the floor, since at a shorter distance there is a noticeable reflection of the sound and its attenuation.

Untrained persons should not be allowed to ring the bells, however, in cases where people who do not have the skills are allowed to ring, one of the bell ringers must be present at the bell tower to keep order and prevent improper handling of the bells.

It is recommended that one of the temple bell ringers be appointed senior bell ringer, who will be responsible for ringing in the temple and monitor the condition of the belfry.
